Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance.
Lead complex negotiations or provide guidance and assistance with agreement and service provider relationships to ensure the company’s best interests are achieved.
Track and report key functional metrics for cost analysis, process review, and benchmarking.
Monitor contract performance and compliance, addressing any issues or disputes that arise.
Collaborate with Internal Audit in managing compliance with Tallgrass policies and regulatory requirements.
Develop, understand, execute, and actively manage major contracts for the ILS Projects, functioning as the primary stakeholder manager and controller of all major contracts, ensuring all contractual obligations are met for both Tallgrass and the supplier/contractor.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external customers.
May be required to work nights and weekends, or non-traditional work hours as needed.
Provide guidance and support to the ILS Project Management Team throughout project development and execution.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contracts and propose solutions to minimize impact.
Work cooperatively and effectively with others and maintain confidentiality when appropriate.
Collaborate with legal, finance, engineering, and project management teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
Negotiate contract terms, conditions, and pricing with vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
Develop and implement contract strategies that align with the project's goals and objectives.
Report administratively to the Procurement organization, but functionally and daily to the Project Director for ILS Projects.
May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed, and travel domestically and internationally to participate in key meetings and manage stakeholder relationships.
Communicate regularly with Management on ILS projects, goals, and objectives, including weekly and monthly project reporting.
Conduct regular contract reviews and audits to ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
Lead and manage all aspects of project services contracts, ensuring they meet schedule, commercial, and contractual requirements, and be the primary relationship owner for major contracts key stakeholders.
Collaborate with various departments and cross-functional teams to provide procurement services and support organizational goals.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the public.
Develop and implement contract management plans, strategies, and procedures for executing large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
Ensure the application of Procurement Policies and Procedures to maintain an efficient, professional, and compliant operation consistent with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Utilize procurement tools and systems to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Utilize strategic approach for planning and problem solving, with a “continuous improvement” mindset.
Identify and implement opportunities for cost savings/efficiency, and develop/prioritize contract management initiatives.

Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) and major Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) contractual terms and intent.
Ability to maintain a measurable high level of performance.
A minimum of ten (10) years’ active and direct work experience, the majority of which should be in Procurement and / or Contract Management.
Advanced degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a variety of individuals and personalities at all levels (field to C-Suite) internally and externally.
Strong reading, listening and analytical skills and logical thought processes, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues/problems.
In-depth knowledge of contract law, industry regulations, and best practices.
Must be able to fly on airplanes domestically and internationally (up to >14 hours).
Successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including a credit report, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Technical background highly desired but not required.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
An ability to successfully organize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, frequently under tight deadlines.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to work independently to manage tasks and timelines.
Ability to quickly change direction in a demanding environment while effectively communicating within the organization.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in Contract Management, particularly in large-scale energy infrastructure, oil and gas, LNG, or other complex projects.
Sitting, standing, walking, speaking (in person or via phone / video conference), moving throughout a construction site or operating industrial facility, driving, seeing (specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus), hearing, feeling, bending or stooping, squatting or crouching, reaching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 25 lbs.
Communicate clearly and concisely (verbal and written) in person, by telephone, and in email, and actively listen.
Experience in preparing and negotiating a wide variety of complex service contracts including Major Construction Agreements.
Generally, office working conditions with some time in construction and operating industrial environments.
Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with capability to engage effectively and negotiate firmly with suppliers.
Required travel 25%.
A minimum of 10+ years’ direct work experience in Procurement may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) for the purpose of word processing, spreadsheets, and information retrieval.
