Travel to jobs to perform repairs or help facilitate job setup as required.
Operation of heavy construction equipment for the purposes of identifying, diagnosing, and repairing reported problems.
Periodic light welding as it pertains to equipment repairs.
Participate with all departments of FKCI to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

Experience with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Familiar with and the ability to execute planned preventative maintenance programs.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to understand, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to understand and interpret machine manuals, technical drawings, and schematics.
Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
Familiar with shop practices including machine work, mechanical repair and steel fabrication.
Excellent analytical, technical and problem solving skills.
Ability to communicate with others effectively.
Must comply with all company policies and be able to work in way that does not pose a threat to themselves and others.
Efficiently and accurately complete work assigned by management.
Certification/Degree in Heavy equipment mechanical maintenance or similar field preferred.

Five (5) years mining or heavy equipment mechanic experience minimum.
