Project Superintendent

Description

• Communicate clearly with team members and external partners to exchange accurate information
• Help manage the material delivery schedule and submittal approval timelines
• Navigate construction sites with rough terrain walking long distances
• Maintain project documentation using construction management software
• Build positive relationships with project stakeholders through professionalism and trust
• Act as a problem-solver alongside PMs, Superintendents, and Engineers
• Attend pre-construction meetings and support jobsite setup activities
• Help manage subcontractor bids, prequalifications, and scopes
• Support Superintendents in all phases—from pre-construction through closeout
• Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and pay applications
• Participate in regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy
• Support document reviews, shop drawing approvals, and specification compliance
• Lift and move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Coordinate permits and compliance with bond and insurance requirements
• Assist with schedule development and updating using MS Project
• Assist with project closeout, punch list coordination, and warranty documentation

• Attend weekly owner and subcontractor meetings—take minutes and follow up on action items
• Perform physical tasks such as standing, squatting, kneeling and driving
• Communicate proactively with field teams, clients, and vendors

Requirements

• Familiarity with project scheduling and construction documentation Proficiency in
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation throughout all stages of construction
• Microsoft Office; experience with CMiC or Viewpoint a plus
• Must be capability of working in a variety of physical positions which include, but are not limited to, sitting, standing, kneeling, squatting, walking and driving
• Work outdoors in varying weather and noisy environments
• Work at a desk or computer screen with keyboard for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, carry or otherwise move or position objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Sit or work at a computer for extended periods
• 2–4 years of experience in commercial/industrial construction
• Works in inclement weather/high noise level at times during site visits
• Strong organizational and communication skills
