Conduct minor structural repairs or build and install structures such as door jams, wall patricians, production benches, etc.
Conduct interior and exterior painting as needed.
Interact with vendors, shop floor and all other departments in a professional manner.
Transport small equipment, tools or parts within plant or outside storage areas.
Clean plant areas according to needs and maintain organization of maintenance areas.
Carryout work within Astec Code of Conduct and established values
Troubleshoot problems on machinery and equipment with operators or others to determine root cause.
Maintain or update landscaping by pulling weeds, adding mulch, adding rock or designing other landscape options.
Conduct minor electrical work such as replacing light fixtures and outlets, repairing electrical cords and minor electrical repair on small equipment.
Maintain walking paths during winter months via snow blowing, shoveling and salting walking areas.
Conduct and maintain lower-level preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
Carryout maintenance and repairs according to OSHA, EPA, DOT, DNR and other governmental agency regulations.
Conduct minor plumbing work such as toilet plunging, toilet replacement, minor water system installations and fixture repairs.
Run errands in company vehicle to pick up supplies for building maintenance functions, company functions or other projects.
