Collaborate with internal designers and subject matter experts to produce high-quality models, mock-ups, and prototypes that support project storytelling and decision-making.
Support modeling and fabrication efforts for teams across all Corgan offices, contributing to a national network of makers and designers.
Serve as the primary Shop representative in the Los Angeles or New York office, building relationships with design teams, communicating Shop capabilities, and helping integrate physical modeling into the design process.
Explore new technologies , materials, and methodologies; test ideas through prototyping; and provide thoughtful insights to expand The Shop’s capabilities.
Maintain regular communication with the Shop Leadership team in Dallas, receiving project assignments, sharing progress updates, and participating in planning and coordination sessions.
Independently manage the day-to-day operation of the LA or NY fabrication workspace, including workflow coordination, equipment operation, organization, and material readiness.
Assist in maintaining fabrication equipment, ensuring proper operation, routine checks, and adherence to safety protocols and cleanliness standards.
Mentor colleagues and design teams, offering guidance in making, fabrication techniques, and safe shop practices.
Conduct investigations and physical studies that inform design decisions, support innovation, and contribute to our culture of experimentation.

Strong understanding of digital fabrication technologies (laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC workflows) and associated processes.
Strong communication skills; receptive to feedback and constructive when providing it to others.
Passionate about making, craft , and creating high-quality physical experiences; possesses a curiosity-first mindset.
Experience with computational design or parametric modeling tools is a plus.
Professional experience working with fabrication tools, materials, and shop equipment.
Adobe Creative Suite
Degree in Architecture, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, or a related field.
Ability to recommend creative fabrication approaches that uncover opportunities, clarify design intent, and support project storytelling.
Ability to choose appropriate fabrication methodologies based on design intent, material behavior, and project constraints.
Comfortable working with significant autonomy, navigating ambiguous environments, and collaborating across disciplines.
CAM software
Experience in the Architecture or Interior Design industry is a plus.
Experience with digital fabrication and 3D modeling software is strongly preferred, including:
