As our new mechanical engineering apprentice, you will undertake an Engineering Level 3 apprenticeship to build the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Multiskilled Maintenance Engineering Technician. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will develop hands‑on practical experience, learn core engineering principles, and actively contribute to day‑to‑day maintenance activities and engineering projects across the site.
- Complete a structured apprenticeship programme, including on‑the‑job training and formal courses, to meet company and legislative standards.
- Work alongside experienced engineers on a wide range of mechanical, electrical and control systems, supporting maintenance, inspections and repairs, including manual handling and lifting where required.
- Work at height when necessary, following all safety procedures and safe systems of work.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving equipment faults, learning how to work safely and effectively both individually and as part of a team.
- Follow all safe systems of work, health and safety procedures, and maintain high standards of responsible care, housekeeping and 5S across site.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to a positive, continuous‑improvement culture to support business objectives.

- Enrolled in, or working towards, Level 2 or Level 3 Mechatronic Engineering qualification.
- Practical, hands‑on approach with problem‑solving skills.
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
- Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to legal and safety requirements of the site.
