The Leasing Consultant reports to the General Manager and supports daily property operations to maintain high occupancy, fiscal stability, and physical condition. Responsibilities include leasing assistance, lease renewal management, licensing, resident check‑ins and check‑outs, complaint resolution, reporting, marketing, and resident retention.
- Assist with leasing to achieve full lease‑up and maintain high occupancy, including renewal offers and availability logging.
- Ensure accurate availability records compatible with lease renewal reports.
- Approve, enter, and present rental applications to the General Manager.
- Manage property licenses and renewals, coordinating with legal counsel and the city.
- Conduct check‑out procedures, accept keys, and inspect vacated units for compliance.
- Process leases and resident check‑ins efficiently and accurately.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns or complaints, fostering positive public relations and reporting to the General Manager.
- Prepare weekly performance reports for the property as required.
- Develop and implement advertising/marketing programs to position the property in the marketplace.
- Create and execute resident retention programs.
- Maintain courteous communication with residents, applicants, employees, and vendors.
- Answer telephone calls as needed.
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing and typing.

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, possess First Aid/CPR certification (or be willing to obtain), and have a valid driver’s license. Required skills include proficiency with Microsoft Office, Entrata (preferred), accurate record‑keeping, strong customer service, and a positive, professional attitude in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (preferred).
- Ability to operate office equipment (fax, copier, telephone, computer, typewriter, calculator, key machine, key card system, vacuum).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of Entrata preferred.
- Strong computer, math, typing, and record‑keeping skills.
- Accurate numerical analysis and data transfer.
- Skill in preparing grammatically and legally correct documents.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all federal, state, and local laws.
- Ability to complete paperwork and meet deadlines.
- Excellent customer service and effective communication in a fast‑paced environment.
- Logical thinking and ability to follow standardized procedures with minor deviations.
- Ability to think rationally beyond specific instructions.
