- Prepare structural drawings and details, specifications, estimates, and/or studies for design projects.
- Actively oversee consultant design work for assigned projects.
- Coordinate design drawings and related specifications, construction costs estimates, etc., with the other technical disciplines.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including records of meetings, correspondence, and progress
- Perform a full range of supervisory duties, including reviewing the work of subordinate staff.
- Review shop drawings, respond to contractor Requests for Information, create and/or review Information Bulletins, and provide similar construction administration and observation during the project’s construction.
- Review reports, drawings, specifications, and cost estimates prepared by design consultants.
- Perform structural engineering duties related to the preparation of structural steel or reinforced concrete designs for new construction of State facilities and rehabilitation/repair of State facilities.
- Actively manage the schedule of assigned projects according to workload, priorities, and design schedules.
