The role involves delivering proxy caregiver training, managing competency checklists for resident care aides, conducting quarterly observations of medication aides, and performing annual competency reviews.
- Provide regional clinical oversight and support to Maine communities, ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance.
- Conduct proxy caregiver training for newly hired staff and provide annual retraining as needed.
- Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly medication pass observations of medication aides with thorough documentation.
- Complete and maintain skills competency checklists for medication and resident care aides upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Respond promptly to clinical emergencies, offering guidance and assessment to onsite teams.
- Maintain collaborative communication with Health and Wellness Directors to support clinical operations and regulatory readiness.
- Plan and deliver educational meetings and targeted trainings based on identified needs, regulatory updates, or performance improvement initiatives.
- Provide staff in‑services and ongoing clinical education to licensed and non‑licensed staff across skilled nursing and long‑term care settings.
- Supervise and guide licensed and unlicensed care staff to ensure safe, high‑quality resident care.
- Support communities by filling essential clinical vacancies identified by regional leadership.

- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree in nursing, 3+ years of nursing or direct resident care experience, and management experience.
- Maintain an active nursing license and a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel regularly for business purposes.
- Demonstrate professional communication, compassion, patience, and the ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally upset residents.
