Applicants for this intern role must possess a clean driving record.

The successful candidate will also be able to perform well with minimal supervision and have familiarity with GPS and GIS technologies
Prior involvement in activities demonstrating physical activity or teamwork, such as sports, hiking, or other activities around environmental stewardship, fieldwork internships, drama/theater, travel clubs, or other team-based experiences are preferred but not required
Physically capable of working 10-12-hour days in high heat conditions, six days a week. Fieldwork is paramount. Must be self-motivated, dependable, and able to follow direction effectively
The candidate should have a strong ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Juniors or seniors pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Biology (with terrestrial animal focus), Botany, Forest Stewardship, Rangeland Ecology, Biology (with birds/raptors focus), Wildlife Ecology, Conservation Biology, or related field
Approximately 75% of work will be conducted in the field, requiring extended time away from home. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel and working long days in hot conditions. The remaining portion of work will be hybrid, with an expectation of at least two days per week in the office
