As the Human Resources Manager you will oversee all HR functions for the Joint Venture project—including employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, training, and compensation and benefits—working closely with project and partner teams to align HR strategies with business objectives and enhance employee experience.
Key responsibilities include managing employee relations and conflict resolution, creating and applying JV policies, handling recruitment and workforce planning, supporting compensation and benefits processes, facilitating talent management activities such as performance reviews and succession planning, and coordinating with the home‑company HR teams.
Aecon may use artificial intelligence tools responsibly to assist in screening and reviewing candidates, with all final hiring decisions made by qualified Aecon team members.
The role requires a post‑secondary education in Human Resources Management and at least seven years of experience in an HR Business Partner capacity, preferably with people‑leadership experience. Candidates must demonstrate senior‑leader partnership, full‑scope HR expertise across the employee life cycle, strong problem‑solving and communication skills, resilience in a fast‑paced environment, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS.
We ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support mental, emotional, and physical well‑being, and we help you build your career through Aecon University and Leadership Programs. We are committed to inclusive work environments through equity, diversity & inclusion training, Aecon Women in Trades, Aecon Diversity in Trades, and Employee Resource Groups, integrating inclusion into every aspect of our culture.
The position is based in West Toronto, Ontario, with a salary range of $105,000–$120,000 per annum, determined by factors such as location, education, experience, certifications, and role complexity.
