  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, problem-solving, and coordination skills, with experience supporting change adoption.
  • Te Reo Māori language classes
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Projectand other relevant systems; collaborative and proactive in team environments.
  • Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in project management, engineering, architecture, or related discipline.
  • Skilled in procurement, NZS3910 contract management, budget oversight, and risk management, with experience reporting to governance levels.
  • Ka Awatea Cultural Wānanga + NCC Kapa Haka
  • Proven experience for a minimum 7 – 10 years, managing complex capital works portfolios or large-scale building/infrastructure projects, ideally in local government or the public sector.
  • Strong understanding of building asset management, project delivery processes, and lifecycle management of civic or community infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and EPMO frameworks.
  • Desirable: postgraduate qualifications or certifications (PMP, MSP).
