Install & splice NID's according to client's specifications
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Ensure all splicing activities are performed to industry standards and client specifications
Perform fiber optic splicing, including single and mass fusion splicing
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including splicing logs, test results, and site documentation
Conduct testing and troubleshooting of fiber optic networks using OTDR and other testing equipment
Assist civil crews in various tasks not directly related to splicing
Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables in various environments, including underground and aerial installations
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
High School Diploma
Class 5 driver's license with an acceptable driver's abstract
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and splicing diagrams
Certification in fiber optic splicing and testing (preferred)
Class 3 driver's license considered an asset
Proficiency in using splicing and testing equipment, including fusion splicers and OTDR
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Knowledge of fiber optic cable types, connectors, and installation methods
2 Years experience as a Fiber Optic Splicer, with a strong understanding of fiber optic splicing techniques and best practices
