Leveraging your proven expertise in managing complex iron ore projects, you’ll apply strong commercial acumen across both time & materials and lump sum contracts. This Senior leadership role provides a unique opportunity to drive meaningful results through proactive stakeholder engagement and decisive project leadership.

• Ensure full compliance with contract requirements by allocating and managing adequate resources to sustain strong project performance within budget throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement site and project strategies that align with the company’s broader business objectives.
• Oversee the management of external contractors and suppliers, ensuring their engagement, performance, and deliverables meet quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Identify, evaluate, and advance new opportunities for project improvement, presenting actionable proposals for approval and execution.
• Lead the analysis and reporting of project performance metrics, driving initiatives to optimize productivity and outcomes across all project phases.
• Support recruitment efforts and facilitate onboarding processes to build and integrate project personnel effectively.
• Maintain strategic oversight to prioritize project activities and resource distribution, ensuring alignment with financial forecasts and budget targets.

Requirements

Reporting to the Executive General Manager, Altrad are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a hybrid Perth based role, with regular site visits based on operational requirements, focused on delivering a major structural remediation project within the iron ore sector.

• Proven commercial acumen, effectively managing budgets, contract variations, and mitigating financial risks.
• Extensive experience in the iron ore sector, with a solid understanding of its unique challenges in a maintenance (On-line / Off-line) environment.
• Deep understanding of industry best practices and their practical application to successful project delivery.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven track record of successfully managing Time & Materials and Lump Sum projects exceeding $50 million, coupled with strong commercial management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of construction management practices, standards, systems, and processes specific to structural remediation within the iron ore industry.
• Responsible, adaptable, and an effective communicator across all organizational levels.
• Skilled in stakeholder engagement and client management, building collaborative and productive relationships.
• Experienced in managing a projects schedule, meeting required deadlines, mitigating delays and achieving the desired level of productivity.
