Assist in communicating payroll-related changes to employees.
Manage payroll tax reporting, remittances, reconciliations, and year-end filings (T4s, W2s, etc.).
Build strong cross-functional relationships (Finance, HR, Operations)
Support the implementation of a new time & attendance and payroll platform
Lead, develop, and mentor a team of payroll professionals; provide training, guidance, and oversight.
Manage payroll aspects of a piece rate wage system.
Oversee Canadian and US payroll for multiple locations and various pay types including salary, hourly, contract, piece-rate and unions
Lead the administration of seniority, leave entitlements, and benefit plans (RRSPs, 401Ks, etc.).

Strong knowledge of CRA, IRS, WCB, and Canadian and U.S. labour and employment standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
PCP or CPM designation required
8+ years experience in a high volume, multi-state, multi-province complex environment
Experience with past payroll implementations is an asset
Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation).
Multi-Systems experience with payroll and time & attendance platforms
