The Handyperson role is in the Maintenance department and reports to the Property Manager or Building Superintendent. The position involves routine interior and exterior upkeep, responding to emergency maintenance issues, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for residents.
The job requires the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, performing medium to heavy physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 100 lb., with frequent lifts of 50 lb.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and 1–2 years of maintenance or construction supervision experience is ideal. Candidates should have basic janitorial knowledge, be able to interact with residents, and be proficient with hand and power tools, including lead‑paint certification.
