Perform routine preventative maintenance on building equipment/furnishings in accordance with the manufacturer’s operation manuals.
Perform minor carpentry tasks.
Assists in repairing, inspecting, servicing, troubleshooting and maintaining building HVAC and electrical systems.
Repairs, inspects, services, troubleshoots and maintains building plumbing systems.

Must possess all required registrations, certifications, and licenses required by State and local jurisdictions, and any specific requirements noted.
Maintenance Mechanics must provide a satisfactory means for contact after normal working hours,
Required to work with in-house Museum staff on routine and emergency activities.
Shall demonstrate a good working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm and electrical skills and have good oral and written communication skills.
Operational business thinking
Must be able to lift/move heavy objects (50 pounds), climb vertical ladders, operate fork lifts and other lifts, work at heights (50 feet), distinguish colors and be proficient in the use of common hand and power tools.
Must be able to pass a government background check.
Maintenance Mechanics shall possess at least 5 years of recent (within the past 7 years) experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment and systems comparable in complexity to systems covered by this contract.
