Follow-up progress and report on the Key Performance Indicators.
Manage risks and opportunities linked to the MEP scope.
Lead the development and monitoring of detailed working schedules by the MEP construction team.
Provide the progress data needed to perform a timely monthly invoicing to the City.
Prepare construction planning for the MEP works including all equipment, material, site teams and supervision.
Coordinate with the project’s scheduling team and the managers of interfacing scopes to ensure the overall MEP program is correctly included in the overall project schedule.
Manage the execution of the work package including detailed design, construction, T&C, operation and the handover process.
Ensure Construction is in full compliance with the Project Agreement, including matters relating to quality, safety, environment, and life cycle performance, such as Project’s ECO Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and all applicable legislation.
Manage the overall budget for the project’s MEP work program including procurement, materials, equipment, labour, etc.
Manage the construction work through field engineer(s).
Ensure conformance of MEP activities with the contract and quality requirements.

Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in-process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions.
Minimum of 10 years work experience with evidence of leadership on at least 2 large projects for MEP work design and construction.
Valid Class 5 license; clean abstract preferred.
Diploma or degree in engineering, or related field with a preference for electrical, civil or mechanical engineering. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experienced in the specification of MEP components and interface with suppliers.
Technical and operational knowledge of MEP systems.
Project management experience including development of construction plans, schedules and interface on a large multidiscipline team.
Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills.
Experience in organizing site construction forces involving LRT or Tramway MEP.
