Develop and industrialize Aero Gas Turbine component repairs.
Develop repair procedures and inspection methods.
Provide oversight and direction for the creation of component CAD models, drawings, and specifications for gas turbine components.
Support repair process qualifications and work with engineering partners to support repair standardization and industrialization.
Participate as a presenter in technical and/or program reviews.
Design analysis and evaluation of assigned engine components to ensure their operational life and substantiate the define repairability limits.
Support engineering and business partners to ensure that newly developed repair processes, procedures, limits, etc. are properly incorporated into appropriate shop, vendor, and engineering manuals & documents.
Act as the technical focal point for the disposition of component repair Departure Records (DRs) related to your assigned components.
Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects/tasks in line with engineering policies and procedures.

Strong mechanical design and analytical background

Gas turbine design knowledge/background.
Solid oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or related engineering field of study from an accredited college or university.
Experience with repair special processes, including welding, brazing, thermal spray, heat treat, machining, blending, coating, and surface treatments.
The role may require travel up to 20% to internal and external repair vendor sites
Experience with inspection technologies, including FPI, X-Ray, and Eddy Current.
