What you would be doing

  • Optimise workflow to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff.
  • Ensure team members follow SOPs and work instructions.
  • Troubleshoot issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Support quality inspections and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify training needs and support skill development.
  • Liaise with senior supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Coordinate with planning and logistics to meet production schedules.
  • Enforce site safety rules and ensure proper use of PPE.
  • Promote a culture of “right first time” and continuous improvement.
  • Allocate tasks and monitor performance to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Provide coaching, support, and motivation to team members.
  • Manage line changeovers and ensure readiness for production.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Suggest and implement changes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and in good condition.
  • Communicate updates, changes, and priorities to the team.
  • Identify and escalate production issues, such as equipment failures or material shortages.
  • Provide shift handovers and daily production reports.
  • Lead incident investigations and report findings.
  • Conduct safety checks and risk assessments.
  • Work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead and manage a team of production operatives across shifts.

Our new facility will be available from early 2026, so the successful candidate may be required to initially work from our Bradford site until the Dewsbury premises are available.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Solid understanding of production processes and quality standards.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within a production environment is essential.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised, proactive, and safety-focused.
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems quickly.
  • Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems
  • Experience of organising and establishing project specific systems to ensure the smooth flow of project works
