Assist Laboratory Manager to define, initiate and manage capital equipment and equipment design projects.
Lead investigations and root cause analysis for equipment non-conformances, troubleshooting, and out-of-tolerance events.
Interpret industry standards and become an electrical subject-matter expert with regards to electrical equipment and pulse-power / high-voltage testing.
Product testing of electrical utility products in an ISO 17025 accredited test laboratory including test scheduling, test program development, test execution, and reporting.
Help to maintain laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025, including internal / external audits, plan / execute proficiency testing, calibration activities, maintenance, and writing / updating quality documents and procedures.
Assist technicians to perform product testing including setup, planning, and reporting per laboratory quality documents and industry standards.
Qualify new test equipment, test cells, and test methods to meet the needs of Hubbell design teams and third-party customers.
Author test reports describing test objects, equipment, methods, procedures, and results.
Participate in cross functional teams with internal / external customers with regard to testing plans for product development, R&D, design / process / supplier changes.

Provide technical support to other members of the laboratory team as required
Design and/or qualify new test equipment, test cells, and test methods to meet the needs of Hubbell design teams and third-party customers.
Maintain laboratory accreditation to ISO 17025, including managing equipment calibration records, maintenance, and quality documents and procedures.
Review test data for accuracy, consistency with test plans, and approving reports.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering discipline or related field (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Physics, etc).
Familiarity with industry standards (e.g. ISO, IEC, IEEE, ANSI, ASTM, etc).
Previous experience with product testing, equipment design and/or manufacturing, electrical utility operations, electrical research, power generation, standards engineering, reliability engineering, and/or quality control / assurance.
Experience with data collection and analysis tools (e.g. Oscilloscopes, LabVIEW, PSpice, etc), test equipment, gages, and/or quality inspection tools and techniques.
Proficiency with Autodesk products or equivalent.
Proficiency in modern programming language (e.g. Python, Matlab, visual basic, C, ladder logic etc.)
Experience with equipment specifications, qualifications, and/or calibrations.
