The incumbent will administer and support the APM solution used by substation operations for construction, maintenance, and inspection activities. They will partner with Electric Operations stakeholders to translate field workflows into system requirements, lead workshops and interviews, and produce business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and test scenarios. Coordination with technical teams and vendors on solution design, SAP integrations, and data flows is required, as is driving change management through communications, training, release readiness and adoption. The role also prioritizes backlog items based on business value, risk reduction and reliability impact, and provides ongoing production support, issue triage and continuous improvement.
Candidates must hold a BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or possess equivalent work experience, and have at least four years of relevant experience in business, IT or engineering roles. Experience on medium to high‑complexity projects and ongoing education in IT and business areas are also required.
Preferred experience includes APM implementation in the electric utility sector, familiarity with asset health, predictive analytics and maintenance optimization, and a strong understanding of field work‑management tools. Candidates should have deep knowledge of electric utility assets and operations, proven ability to lead cross‑functional requirements sessions, and excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. SAP EAM/PM experience, work with APM platforms and integrations to SAP, GIS or data warehouses, as well as field deployment, training and change‑management experience, are strongly favored. Knowledge of asset health indices, risk frameworks and reliability metrics is also a plus.
PG&E provides a locality‑specific salary range for this position. In the Bay Area the base salary ranges from $102,000 to $162,000, with a midpoint of $132,000; for the rest of California the range is $97,000 to $154,000, with a midpoint of $125,000. Final compensation will consider skills, experience, certifications, market value and internal equity.
