As an Assistant Chief Engineer for Data Center Facilities, you will work closely with the Chief Engineer to oversee operations, manage technical teams, and implement strategies that optimize performance, reliability, and efficiency of mission‑critical data‑center infrastructure.

- Assist in managing and coordinating data‑center facility operations and maintenance.
- Supervise and mentor engineers, technicians, and contractors.
- Monitor and analyze performance of power, cooling, and network systems.
- Develop and enforce preventive‑maintenance schedules and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in capacity‑planning and infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Respond to critical incidents and emergency situations.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and clients.

The role is based on‑site in Abilene, Texas, and candidates must establish residency in or near the city to meet in‑person requirements. We are hiring an Assistant Chief Engineer – Critical Environments to support our data‑center facilities.

- Minimum 5 years of data‑center operations and management experience.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, cooling systems, and network architecture.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, TIA, and Uptime Institute.
- Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency with facility‑management software and building‑automation systems.
- Valid certification (e.g., CDCP, DCPRO) – Professional Engineer license preferred.
- Experience with energy‑efficiency initiatives, sustainable practices, and multi‑site management.
