Building Maintenance Technician

Description

• Regular Maintenance: maintain residential apartments, building exteriors, interiors, and public areas.
• Repairs: perform small appliance, plumbing, electrical, and other repairs.
• Installation: install tile and laminate flooring.
• Emergency Response: participate in on‑call rotation and respond to after‑hour emergencies.
• Unit Turnover: manage empty unit turn‑over, including sheetrock, painting, and fixture repairs.

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician for a 120‑unit residential property located in Macon, GA.

• Problem‑solving: apply solution‑based thinking.
• Organizational Skills: organize, multitask, manage time, and prioritize tasks.
• Communication: deliver excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience: three+ years in residential multifamily property management/apartment maintenance.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Skill: experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• License: valid driver’s license.
• Certification: fire safety certification.
• Tools: possess basic tools for routine maintenance tasks.
• Physical Requirements: ability to lift heavy items, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, balance, and carry.
• Computer Skills: proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
