The Senior VDC Engineer plays a key role in leading the modeling and coordination of electrical systems for commercial construction projects. This position involves using tools like Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to produce accurate construction and fabrication drawings, resolve clashes across trades, and support field and prefab teams with precise layout data. The engineer will manage multiple project workloads, maintain coordination schedules, and represent the VDC team in meetings. Additionally, they will mentor junior engineers, improve workflows, and implement new technologies to enhance project delivery. Strong technical expertise, leadership in trade coordination, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.
- Experience creating Revit families and parametric components (preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawing workflows
- Familiarity with Dynamo, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools such as BIM 360 or Procore (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
- Field or Prefab experience supporting layout, QA/QC, or installation workflows (preferred)
- Tools you need to succeed - technology, training, support
- 3–5 years of BIM/VDC experience in commercial construction (electrical or MEP preferred)
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks Manage
- Experience leading trade coordination and clash resolution processes
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

Pay ranges from $90,000 to $120,000 yearly salary
