Description

• Ensure crew safety through hands‑on training, daily Tailgate Safety Meetings and enforcement of Job Safety Analyses.
• Lead and mentor field survey staff, fostering high performance and skill development.
• Maintain organized field notes, sketches and survey control documentation meeting project and regulatory standards.
• Collect, verify and process survey data using proper naming conventions for seamless office hand‑off.
• Coordinate daily with Project Managers and Land Surveyors to set goals, track progress and resolve field challenges.
• Follow client and company field protocols to guarantee data accuracy across diverse project specifications.
• Perform control checks, traverse angle closures and level run validations before data submission.
• Track and document crew timesheets, vehicle usage and equipment condition to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, GIS and planning departments to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in Surveying, Geomatics or related field preferred.
• Minimum three years experience as a Survey Party Chief.
• Proficiency with Leica GPS, scanning and Total Station equipment.
• Demonstrated high‑quality work, critical‑thinking and sound judgment.
• Ability to own projects, prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills—integrity, respect, active listening and collaboration.
• Curiosity and continuous‑improvement mindset; openness to feedback.
