Oversee office operations including resource planning, staffing levels, and coordination with other departments to meet project and business goals.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction and validate project delivery.
Determine and oversee staffing/resource requirements.
Work directly with, and provide guidance to, clients and BEC staff with varied levels of experience and expertise.
Ensure that projects adhere to all relevant industry standards, regulations, and engineering specification safety protocols.
Respond to construction administration engineering action items: Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, materials quality approval, etc.
Analyze project scope and validate with site visit as needed; and prepare level of effort for required fee / budget and negotiate final fee with client.
Attend pre-bid, construction (all-phase), status update and close-out meetings; answer questions and resolve design issues.
Develop and present communication plans, materials, and graphics for public interest meetings (city council, local, residential).

Expert knowledge of civil engineering design in site development, roadways, paving, drainage systems, water and wastewater utilities and traffic control plans.
MS in Engineering desired.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study required.
5+ years’ experience in direct management/supervisor experience helpful.
Proficiency in Autodesk (Civil3D), Bentley (Open Roads Designer, MicroStation, ProjectWise), Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Bluebeam (Revu) preferred.
Effective time management skills.
10+ years’ experience in civil engineering design, and management of multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to focus and deliver quality results; keen attention to detail.
