SnapNrack is seeking a Compliance Engineer to lead product safety, certification, and testing for residential solar mounting systems. The role involves managing UL compliance, supporting NRTL submissions, and ensuring that product revisions and supply‑chain changes remain fully certified. The engineer will work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Product teams to maintain safe, code‑compliant designs while driving continuous improvement.
- Lead product safety, certification, and testing for residential solar mounting systems.
- Manage UL compliance and support NRTL submissions, ensuring all product changes stay certified.
- Prepare test plans, technical files, and corrective actions for certification submissions.
- Apply UL 2703/2703A, UL 3741, IEC 61215/61730, ASTM testing methods, and NEC Article 690 requirements.
- Interpret U.S. building codes, ASCE 7, and structural load paths for rooftop PV installations.
- Maintain compliance roadmaps, recertification timelines, and dossiers for UL audits and surveillance testing.
- Track regulatory updates and communicate implications to engineering leadership.
- Analyze structural test data, regression results, and statistical significance.
- Collaborate with product, manufacturing, and engineering teams to keep designs compliant throughout their lifecycle.
- Document thoroughly and make decisions within compliance boundaries even when information is incomplete.

Compensation varies based on background and location, with a starting salary range of $85,617.44 to $114,156.59. Candidates are encouraged to discuss specific figures with recruiter Danielle Levitan. Salary decisions will not be based on a candidate’s salary history.
