The role supports construction engineering operations, ensuring all construction work complies with engineering standards. It is an entry‑level position focused on assisting with project documentation and technical support.
Key duties include interpreting design drawings for take‑offs and workforce planning, preparing status reports, punch lists, sketches, and material calculations, and providing technical direction on material specifications, delivery dates, and schedules. The incumbent also assists with change orders, prepares supporting drawings, develops quantity take‑offs and pricing data, and maintains accurate records for cost control.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and be working toward a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, business administration, or a related technical field. Zero to two years of experience in construction estimating, engineering, field support, or a similar area is preferred.
The candidate should be proficient with all Microsoft Office products and able to perform trigonometric calculations manually or with a calculator. Strong communication skills and the ability to assume responsibility and collaborate effectively are essential.
Physical demands include regular standing, walking, sitting, and computer use, occasional reaching, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Employees must work safely around large construction equipment and comply with corporate safety initiatives.
