Conduct reviews to ensure that engineering deliverables (e.g., drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, analysis) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices
Assist in organizing and maintaining structural design guidelines
Carry out business development activities including client liaison, proposal preparation and promotional work
Stay updated on codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.
Prepare structural analysis and calculation reports.
Review of shop drawings for structural adequacy and compliance with structural drawings
Ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations
Communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with clients and internal team members in the development of designs and preparation of technical specifications of structural building systems
Provide engineering support and supervision to EIT’s, Technologists, Technicians and CAD/REVIT staff.
Prepare or assist in preparation of engineering fee estimates for bids and proposal on structural engineering.
Lead and contribute to the successful design, production, coordination and management of structural building designs
Coordinate with other business lines and engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient project execution.
Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments to evaluate structure’s conditions and provide recommendations.
Independently perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering and Six (6) years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently.
Holding security clearance or the ability to obtain secret level security clearance
Proven expertise in applying all major structural design codes and standards, including in-depth knowledge of NBCC, MBC, and CSA S16, CSA A23.1, CSA A23.3, CSA S304, CSA O86, AISC 360, ACI 350, ACI 318, etc.
Proficiency in 3D structural analysis, modeling, and design software including but not limited to ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, as well as other computer-aided design tools relevant to this role.
Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).

10+ years of experience in structural engineering after receiving P.Eng., including demonstrated leadership in design delivery.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Manitoba in good standing.

Experience in IPD (Integrated Project Delivery)
Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules is a must.
Experience in structural design of industrial plants, commercial buildings, government facilities, municipal infrastructure, and transit stations.
