Based in Broussard, LA, the Laboratory Manager will lead the petroleum testing laboratory, overseeing daily operations, staff, equipment, and budgets. This hands‑on leadership role ensures the delivery of accurate, defensible data for oil and energy industries while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and performance. The manager also drives continuous improvement and supports client needs through technical expertise.
- Lead daily lab operations ensuring quality, safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage, train, and develop laboratory staff to achieve technical excellence.
- Oversee quality systems, data integrity, procedures, and compliance with standards.
- Allocate resources, including staffing, equipment, and budgets, to maintain productivity.
- Review and approve analytical data, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Project Management to meet client expectations.
- Conduct audits, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor performance metrics such as turnaround time, data quality, and operational costs.
- Provide technical expertise to support business development and laboratory capabilities.
- Occasional travel to support business needs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of laboratory experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage performance.
- Experience operating analytical or testing laboratories.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC programs and regulations (EPA, ASTM, API, Standard Methods).
- Proficiency with LIMS and Microsoft Office.
