Description

• Provide code recommendations and ensure compliance for all required mechanical and piping equipment.
• Review and approve vendor and contractor calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Design and specify piping systems connecting multiple unit operations across the facility.
• Specify process equipment including piping components, pumps, tanks, vessels, and related mechanical systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and external stakeholders to ensure safe and efficient execution.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including procedures, inspection plans, and design packages.

Piper Maddox is partnered with a top organization in the sustainable materials and advanced recycling sector that is seeking an experienced Mechanical Piping Engineer to support the development of engineering and construction packages for facility expansions and new buildouts.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on software experience with Autodesk 2D & 3D (Plant 3D is key) and CAESAR II.
• Experience designing and specifying both fixed and rotating equipment.
• 7–10 years of overall mechanical engineering experience.
• Background supporting industrial facilities, process plants, or energy/materials infrastructure strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant codes and standards including API, ANSI, and OSHA.
