AMI Solution Lead

Description

• Develops and delivers onsite end user training, as needed.
• Co-facilitates workshops, provides technical expertise and captures requirements.
• Manages the expectations of the customer or business partner in coordination with PM.
• Assists Project Manager with scope management, project planning, milestones and work and resource estimates.
• Provides technical leadership of subcontractor work and deliverables.
• Participates in the Build and Test phase of the project (configures and tests) and provides technical leadership of other team members to ensure delivery of the solution on plan and adhering to technical best practices.
• Provides end-to-end technical oversight and assumes overall responsibility for the success and integrity of the technical solution.
• Documents requirements for custom development and work with custom development team to ensure requirements are met.
• Supports proposals and participates in post bid activities including clarifications, support of short list presentation and supporting scope definition in contract development and negotiations.
• Looks for ways to improve the delivery process, reduce issues / rework and improve customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop other resources on the team.
• Formally presents project deliverables to Client project team members at the end of design phase.
• Acts as a technical expert supporting the Solution Architect in the design of the solution to meet the customer requirements.
• Ensure that testing is being completed with high standards and on schedule. If the project doesn't have a separate QA team, then the SL will take ownership of the QA process to ensure the solution is thoroughly tested prior to SIT / UAT
• Participates in services estimation to support pricing for bid and in other parts of the bid response process, as required by bid structure.

Requirements

• Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Ability to interact with the Client team including project sponsors and end users of the system.
• 5+ years working on projects involving integration between systems, writing SQL queries or similar, performing data mapping and data transformation.
• Power Distribution or Distribution Network experience
• Experience with Webservices, XML, SOAP, RESTful. Etc.
• Experience working with real-time systems and data connectivity is preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript
• Collaborative nature and willing to share knowledge across broader team while contributing to reusable collateral.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills
• Experience with utility standards such as CIM 61968 / 61970, OpenADR, SEP2.0
• Adheres to the TRC Software Implementation Delivery Methodology
• Travel: Up to 50% travel throughout North America
• Experience with cloud technologies and microservice-based architectures
• Utility industry knowledge breadth and depth
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Technology from an accredited school or university is required
• Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting such as Tableau, Cognos
• Experience: A minimum of 7 years of software delivery experience is required, 9 years is preferred. Utility industry background is required.
• Clear and timely communication internally and externally
• EnergyIP/GridScaleX experience: Configuration, Testing, Troubleshooting, Designing, Performance tuning of EnergyIP/GridscaleX and it’s adapters for different CIS and HES.
