Drivers safely operate a tractor‑trailer, straight truck, or similar Class A CDL vehicle to complete assigned routes, ensuring compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Operate vehicle in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and all applicable regulations while maintaining a clean, safe vehicle.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections using electronic DVIR and report issues for repair.
- Immediately report unsafe situations or unscheduled service calls to Operations Manager and Dispatch.
- Participate in required training, briefings, and meetings.
- Collaborate with Operations Managers and Dispatch to improve route efficiency and address unsafe accounts.
- Assist other drivers as directed and complete scheduled duties.
- Notify Management of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Report blocked containers, uncompleted services, or route problems per Service Machine protocol.
- Communicate customer requests, issues, or service changes to Management and Dispatch.
- Dump containers and leave customer locations clean and free of debris.
- Position containers to avoid blocking driveways or traffic.
- Follow route assignments and complete all end‑of‑day documentation.

The role requires physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, and may involve working indoors in garages or outdoors in inclement weather.
- Minimum age 18 and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- At least one year operating a CDL‑required vehicle or equivalent military driving within the past 7 years.
- Hold a Commercial Driver License (Class A).
- Pass pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, background check, and motor vehicle record review.
- Ability to meet physical job demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
