  • Leads multiple projects simultaneously, including process planning and supplier quality improvement efforts.
  • Identifies potential waste stream problems and suggests alternative treatment and/or recycling options for customers. Analyzes and recommends the use of alternative sources or materials to reduce costs.
  • Recertifies waste streams at various 3rd party locations.
  • Communicates regularly with internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of the stakeholder’s business and opportunities and anticipate their needs/requests.
  • Assists Revenue Management with 3P vendor price book maintenance.
  • Assists customers and operations in gathering all required information for 3rd party waste approvals in a timely manner.
  • Reviews vendor pricing and suggests vendor cost concessions when appropriate.
  • Drafts and submits waste profiles to approved vendors for review and approval.
  • Performs market and industry trend analysis, evaluates supply sources, and assists stakeholders in identifying solutions to their needs.
  • documents and 3rd party waste profiles for completeness to ensure environmental compliance, health and safety.
  • Develops effective management presentation materials based on findings, including professional display of information.
  • Supports Sales with 3rd party pricing for bid opportunities and other customer requests.
  • Analyzes and evaluates hazardous waste suppliers. Prepares related reports and provides analysis to senior leadership and internal stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Vets waste profiles through all Republic Services and/or its affiliates technologies prior to suggesting 3rd party processing.

  • 4 - 7 years of overall relevant work experience.
  • Expert knowledge of RCRA, DOT, TSCA and state regulations.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects or tasks with varying and sometimes competing timelines.
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, with customers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of waste characterization principles and practices including analysis and evaluation, and waste processing protocols.
  • Experience negotiating pricing and customer terms.
  • Ability to analyze waste volumes and vendor spend information to suggest cost savings.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience working at a RCRA Part B permitted TSDF
