Community Manager

Description

The Community Manager oversees all business operations at an apartment community, leading staff, ensuring resident satisfaction, and managing financial performance.

This on‑site role is primarily office‑based, though it may involve occasional outdoor work, interaction with maintenance teams, and visits to resident units.

• Lead property staff, conduct interviews, oversee onboarding, training, timesheet approval, and performance assessments.
• Drive team performance, provide feedback, and handle disciplinary actions with HR.
• Deliver ongoing training on leasing paperwork, workplace safety, and daily operations.
• Motivate associates through recognition programs, training, and team‑building activities.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitor adherence, and generate month‑end and year‑end financial reports with variance within ±10 % per line item.
• Respond promptly to resident complaints, questions, and service requests to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Coordinate with maintenance to complete resident service requests according to company standards.
• Analyze market trends and collaborate with marketing to implement leasing strategies meeting occupancy and revenue goals.
• Manage eviction procedures, including notices, court representation, and proceedings.
• Maintain owner relationships through meetings, property tours, updates, and addressing requests.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with 3+ years in multi‑family property management.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, teamwork, and professional communication abilities.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and property‑management software.
• Possess a current, valid driver’s license.
• Able to sit for extended periods, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 lb as needed.
