Assist with periodic scheduling and record keeping of servicing.
Undertake ad hoc activities as required to contribute to the achievement of the Marine Asset team.
Assist with the Office, Workshop and Yard duties.
Ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and compliance with WHS policy, procedures, legislation and SWMS.
Assist in the repair and service of marine engines and engine components, electrical and electronic systems (including ignition systems and instrumentation), transmissions, propeller drives, and jet drive propulsion systems.
Assist with Workshop inventory on a regular basis, including email and phone communication to internal staff and external suppliers
Perform daily workshop housekeeping, ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained in a clean and safe condition.
Complete Training and Assessment milestones and requirements of the qualification to a competent standard in accordance with the Training Plan.

Strong interest and/or experience with boats
To effectively complete a Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology (AUR30520) during an apprenticeship of up to four years.
Willingness to learn and take direction
Good communication skills, including the ability to clearly convey information and instructions, actively listen, and interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and external stakeholders.
This role is open to Australian Citizens or Australian Permanent Residents only.
Learn to diagnose and trouble shoot (primarily) outboard marine engines.
Enrolment or eligibility to enrol in Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology (AUR30520)
Willing to complete a Blue Card and first aid training course
Completion of Year 10 or above.
Applicants will be required to complete background checks, including police checks, medical checks and reference checks to be successful.
Intermediate computer literacy and technical orientation
Must have a valid driver’s license or willing to obtain one and be available 5 days a week
