The Telecom Customer Premise Technician – Level IV performs detailed installation, integration, and testing of customer‑premise fiber systems and routers with minimal supervision, mastering Telco standards and a wide variety of equipment.
Core responsibilities include mastering equipment installation and testing, reading and following methods of procedure, documenting work accurately, interfacing with customers and vendors, performing system turn‑up and integration, conducting quality audits, and handling physical installation tasks such as cable tray and equipment cabinet installation without supervision.
- Install, integrate, and test customer‑premise fiber systems and routers per Telco standards.
- Perform equipment installation, cable tray/rack setup, and cabinet placement using drawings and engineering documents.
- Generate and maintain method‑of‑procedure (MOP) documents, test records, high‑risk activity reports, and project completion reports.
- Conduct system turn‑up, integration testing, quality audits, and resolve equipment or technical issues.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful equipment commissioning.
- Apply safety policies, OSHA compliance, and company administrative procedures.

Candidates need at least five years of installation experience, prior leadership, high school diploma with technical training, proficiency with laptops and MS Office, strong communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to meet safety and OSHA standards.
The role requires travel within the home region, occasional overnight stays, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in tight spaces; expenses are fully covered and a company vehicle is provided.
