  • Develop or approve Definable Features of Work (DFOW) Log with input from project team.
  • Establish and manage punch list prevention plan.
  • Continually improve and apply strategies and tools to efficiently and effectively document, track, and record compliance with contract documents.
  • Plan, chair, and participate in Mock-Up Review meetings.
  • Perform material delivery inspections in collaboration with Project Superintendent and Trade Foreman to confirm compliance with approved submittals.
  • Document non-compliant materials and/or workmanship and direct team to engage with trade partners for removal and replacement of defective work. Document compliance after corrective work is completed and prior to starting any subsequent work.
  • Manage development and implementation of project-specific Quality Control (QC) Plan in coordination with project team, the owner/architect team and contract documents.
  • Create structure and supportive environment to develop high performing team, provide professional development opportunities, and engage in coaching and mentoring relationships.
  • Ensure completion of project closeout documentation and quality reports.
  • Manage direct reports, deliver timely performance feedback and contribute to performance appraisals during annual performance cycle, utilizing talent management systems.
  • Perform daily quality follow-up inspections on-site.
  • Develop comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of project-specific contract documents (including Turner’s contract, plans, specifications and applicable codes).
  • Plan and chair Pre-installation meetings to communicate and set expectations of contract and scope.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure fully compliant project.
  • Arrange for third party testing and inspections; analyze and report results.
  • Implement project-specific QC Plan in coordination with project safety plan and trade partner Pre Task Plan (PTP).
  • Coordinate with Operations Manager (OM) to ensure sufficient QC staff and oversight.
  • Expand development of QC plan as project progresses to improve quality procedures.
  • Execute project-specific QC Plan in a manner that engages all project staff, subcontractors, vendors and consultants for compliance and consistent execution.
  • Build engaging partnerships with team and organizational stakeholders through trust, teamwork, and direct communication
  • Travel may be required
  • Chair or attend First Work In Place (WIP) Observation with project team.

  • Knowledgeable of project-specific engineering procedures, including document control, submissions management, creation and tracking of Requests for Information (RFIs), material samples, documentation and tracking of potential cost changes, documentation and tracking of approved change orders within budgetary requirements.
  • Advanced computer skills, proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program with minimum of 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
  • Well-rounded knowledge of construction processes across all trades, means and methods, and materials their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances
  • Self-starter, capable of managing multiple complex issues and tasks successfully to completion
  • Understand project execution plan to manage and direct QC activities at appropriate stages of work, in line with and in support of project schedule.
  • Construction experience that bridges both field and engineering responsibilities, required
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
  • Knowledge of project management skills and related software
