The primary function of the role is to operate screw machines using blueprints and standard procedures to produce machined parts. The employee will load bar stock, monitor throughput, and ensure that each part meets quality specifications.
Safety and equipment upkeep are integral to the job; the employee performs preventative maintenance, adds coolant and lubrication, and conducts regular safety checks. They also maintain a clean work area, update the cell board with any machine issues, and communicate daily with other shift operators and supervisors.
Candidates must be proficient in shop mathematics, blueprint reading, and the use of measuring tools. Preferred qualifications include machining or mechanical experience, demonstrated troubleshooting or repair skills, and a strong team‑oriented attitude.
