As Chief Engineer at JLL, you will lead comprehensive facility operations and drive technical excellence and innovation for our clients. The role oversees all building systems—including fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical, cabling, and digital systems—across multiple sites, and you will develop strategic maintenance plans that ensure regulatory compliance and safety. You will manage engineering staff, contractors, and vendors while championing continuous improvement and sustainable work environments.
- Oversee maintenance and continuous operation of mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and digital building systems
- Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and reliability‑centered maintenance strategies
- Supervise, hire, train, and develop engineering and maintenance staff
- Manage contractors and vendor relationships, ensuring safety and JSA compliance
- Maintain regulatory documentation, building drawings, single‑line diagrams, and infrastructure records
- Support capital projects such as BAS, electrical upgrades, fuel tanks, air compressors, and lab relocations
- Provide training and technical support on FM systems (Get Service, ADP, WorkDay, Siemens, Niagara BAS)
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, walking for extended periods
- Lift equipment and materials up to 50 lb

The position is based on‑site in Dublin, OH, with a Monday‑Friday schedule of 8:00 am to 4:40 pm. This role does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of building operations/facilities management experience
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and building automation systems
- Proven leadership supervising engineering teams and complex facility operations
- Strong grasp of preventive maintenance, reliability‑centered maintenance, and regulatory compliance
- Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Ability to work in diverse indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions
- Electrical or HVAC license or equivalent trade certifications
- EPA Universal 608 certification
- Project management experience
- Prior vendor management experience
