Director, Risk and Insurance

Description

• Manage corporate insurance programs across property, casualty, cyber, D&O, and specialized policies.
• Lead annual renewal process, coordinating with brokers and internal stakeholders to assess coverage, negotiate terms, and control premiums.
• Oversee claims handling for all lines, ensuring timely resolution aligned with business objectives.
• Supervise and mentor two direct reports, fostering professional development.
• Partner with Operations and Legal to identify, quantify, and mitigate emerging risks.
• Maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, third‑party administrators, and internal teams.
• Support risk assessment and insurance integration for new initiatives and M&A transactions.
• Enhance risk‑management systems and documentation to ensure compliance.
• Prepare and present risk and insurance reports to senior leadership, including coverage summaries and claims trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; advanced degree or ARM/CPCU certification preferred.
• 8–10+ years in risk management and corporate insurance, preferably in a global or complex organization.
• Proven track record managing insurance renewals, claims administration, and broker relationships.
• Strong knowledge of property, casualty, cyber, and D&O insurance lines.
• Experience leading a small team with a collaborative, hands‑on approach.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, project management, and communication skills.
