Description

The purpose of the role is to deliver exceptional service to Waterware Showroom customers, whether in person or over the phone, by developing extensive knowledge of company products to anticipate and satisfy customer needs.

The consultant is expected to meet sales objectives, maintain a professional and organized showroom environment, and remain flexible as management may reassign duties over time.

• Guide homeowners through bathroom or kitchen renovations, providing design assistance, product selection, and purchase support.
• Collaborate with designers, architects, builders, plumbers, and contractors throughout the project cycle.
• Identify customer needs and suggest related products to enhance their experience and drive additional sales.
• Proactively seek new customers and match them with appropriate products and services.
• Continuously expand product knowledge to better serve customers.
• Determine sale price according to company procedures and address product availability questions.
• Maintain confidentiality of pricing lists and structures.
• Educate customers on product features and benefits.
• Stay informed about new products, pricing changes, and discontinued items.
• Keep the showroom clean, attractive, and organized to boost sales.
• Ensure product catalogs are current.
• Apply active listening to understand customer needs and ask appropriate questions.
• Meet and exceed sales performance goals.

Requirements

The Showroom Sales Consultant reports to the Showroom Manager and works either full‑time or part‑time in a designated branch. This position is non‑exempt under FLSA regulations.

• Minimum high school diploma required; associate degree in design preferred.
• Prior sales experience in kitchen/bathroom design required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with industry trends; result‑driven and customer‑focused attitude.
• Physical ability to stand, sit, lift up to 20 lb occasionally, and perform light computer and telephone work.
