  • Oversee the design and execution of qualitative and quantitative research projects (e.g., customer interviews, surveys, segmentation studies, market sizing) both internally and with external partners.
  • Ensure research outputs are high-quality, timely, and aligned with strategic priorities.
  • Provide insights content that is easily digestible and capable of being presented to external partners and internal leadership including at the Board of Directors level
  • Work hand-in-hand with business unit and enterprise Strategy leadership to ensure business unit strategy aligns with enterprise strategy
  • Develop and deliver insight-driven recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams on routine cadences and ad-hoc
  • Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that inform and support strategy development.
  • Identify emerging trends, market shifts, and customer needs to guide innovation and growth.
  • Provide market research training to Strategic Marketing and other functional teams so they can support the primary market research function, as needed.
  • Design and implement a scalable market insights framework tailored to business unit needs leveraging internal and external research and data sources.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven, market-back decision-making and customer-centricity.
  • Represent the Doors business at enterprise insight venues and work with enterprise partners to align efforts and develop capabilities across all of Owens Corning.
  • Lead and manage relationships with external vendors for syndicated data, primary research, and secondary research.
  • Develop tools, processes, and methodologies for ongoing market, customer, and competitive intelligence.
  • Act as a thought partner to executive leadership, embedding insights into strategic planning and execution.
  • Communicate findings effectively across all levels of the organization from the Executive Committee and Doors Leadership Team to project teams, tailoring messages to diverse audiences.

  • Strong intellect and growth mindset; curious individual with ability to combine analytical reasoning and qualitative input using creativity and judgment. Strong inductive and deductive problem-solving skills.
  • 6+ years’ market research (vendor or client side) experience managing primary research (qualitative and quantitative) from designing instruments, fielding work, analyzing data, and developing reports. Competitive intelligence experience preferred.
  • Must be located within driving distance of Toledo (OH), Tampa (FL), or willing to relocate. Hybrid arrangements may be considered for exceptional candidates. Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Willingness to introduce risk thoughtfully, apply business judgment, and take accountability for the quality and application of the analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Ability to respond quickly to the demands of the moment; flexible and can stay productive when the demands of work pull in many different directions at once.
  • Experience managing external research vendors and syndicated data sources.
  • Quick study, able to handle complex matters, with multiple initiatives going on simultaneously; able to deal with strategic issues, as well as tactical operational details.
  • Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization from executives to junior team members.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to drive teams and projects towards distilling key insights from broad data sources that can be directly linked to the business strategy
  • Demonstrates a strong self-awareness of one’s strengths, development needs, and the impact of ones’ own behaviors on others; consistently takes actions to be better.
  • Exceptional data/analytical toolkit, with proficiency in related tools (Excel, PowerBI, and preferably with at least one programming language such as Stata, R, or Python); experience with data architecture and information management a plus.
