The IT Project Manager is a role within the IT-PMO department at Republic Services, responsible for driving results independently and working collaboratively with functional stakeholders to deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
The manager oversees projects that may have interdependencies, creates schedules and resource plans with functional leads, and ensures projects stay within the schedule baseline. They develop risk management plans, evaluate change requests, and manage project budgets to stay within cost baselines. Additionally, they facilitate project meetings, communicate with sponsors and functional managers, and mentor coordinators and less‑experienced staff.
Candidates must have a strong understanding of Agile, Predictive, and Hybrid methodologies and the software development lifecycle, along with PMI‑PMP or PMI‑ACP certification. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as at least five years of IT project coordination or management experience and three years of senior‑level IT experience such as a senior software developer or database administrator.
The minimum qualifications include five years of IT project coordination or management experience and advanced knowledge of project management processes and systems development methods. Eligible employees can participate in a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
