  • Engagement with key stakeholders including our regulators (EA and DWI), other Water Companies, the water industry, Catchment Partnerships, internally within SWS to promote our Catchment First Programme and contribute to industry technical working groups.
  • Catchment Management expert providing specialist advice to the wider business in relation to Catchment Management, Water quality and Resources, Planning and Development, Environmental Policy etc. Contribute to industry forums promoting the catchment approach.
  • Support the Catchment Strategy Manager to technically manage implementation and delivery and reporting to successfully fulfil our regulatory and compliance requirements. Responsible for undertaking technical evaluation/recommendations on environmental measures that will likely be needed to mitigate predicted environmental challenges.
  • Assist the professional development of the Catchment Management Specialists.

  • You will have an environmental background with an MSc or equivalent experience in technical water quality and catchment management planning and delivery.
  • The ability to demonstrate the completion of quality multi-disciplinary tasks on time to a consistent & high standard.
  • Experience of technical report writing and review of water resource and water quality investigations, catchment risk assessments.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of designing water quality, hydroecology and hydrometric monitoring programmes, data analysis and assimilation.
  • Demonstrable experience of water quality investigations and catchment management planning and delivery.
  • Experience managing delivery of technical work via sub-contracted consultancy teams and data analysis including use and development of GIS and dashboard reporting systems.
