Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff’s specific area of expertise
Executes engineering design tasks for utilities and HVAC (wet and dry) systems supporting mission-critical data center environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and energy efficiency for high-density computing operations.
Plans and schedules discipline deliverables and activities including man-hour estimation, assigning personnel, and supervision of discipline personnel on the Projects
Responsible for the development of conceptual, preliminary, and final design documentation, including system sizing and selection calculations, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), general arrangement drawings, and sequences of operation for associated systems
Prepares mechanical engineering calculations in support of HVAC systems design including heat load calculations, duct sizing, chilled water hydraulics, static pressure calculations, equipment sizing and selection
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements
Develops manpower and labor cost requirements for a project and monitor them to aid in evaluating project schedule and budget
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by discipline team
Works to build and maintain positive and productive working relationships both internal and external
Coordinates with disciplines in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensuring those other disciplines’ inputs are incorporated
