Language Skills: Commensurate with education
Mathematical Skills: Commensurate with education, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, area and volume.
Must comply with company safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds
Occasional exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
Must have thorough knowledge of mechanics in order to quickly diagnose problems and take necessary action, including emergency repairs
Must be able to start up and shut down the plant and make minor repairs and adjustments to the electrical equipment
Must be familiar with the principles of electrical and pneumatic instrumentation in order to make the necessary adjustments to operate and make minor repairs on these instruments
Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
Must understand and operate the console equipment including CRT's, communication equipment, recorders, printers, keyboards and other control instruments used in the Cement Plant
Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
