Is responsible for minor repairs and general maintenance of earth-moving equipment, including greasing, oiling, refueling, and assisting with other major repairs, as required.
Performs work of other classifications when not operating earth-moving equipment.
Learns and assists in duties of higher classifications as to qualify for promotion.
May involve handling hazardous waste. Training will be provided by the Company to meet requirements of 40 CFR 265.16.

Must have some experience in operation and repair of construction & automotive equipment.
Must learn operating routine of all earth-moving equipment used by the Company and must be capable of obtaining entry-level operating proficiency within three months.
Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Must have a CDL B license and possess a good driving record.
Must have elementary knowledge of gasoline and diesel motors and automotive equipment.
Be agile
Must have a good degree of mechanical ability and knowledge of earth-moving equipment.
Must have knowledge of the layout of the streets within the territory served by the Company.
Must have the aptitude and skill to operate all Distribution Division equipment and tools in a safe and fully satisfactory manner.
Must be able to perform the duties of other classifications and to assist crew when not operating earth-moving equipment.
