Description

The Site Quality Manager directly supports Nordex’s mission to deliver clean, 100 % renewable power plants. Working closely with the Operations PM team, the role implements corporate quality standards, operational procedures, training, internal audits and analytical technologies across the site to ensure regulatory compliance and product quality.

• Act as the on‑site quality lead for the wind‑farm, representing Nordex Quality Management.
• Ensure IMS standards are understood, applied and audited across all site activities.
• Prepare regular quality status reports for site and corporate quality managers.
• Maintain quality tools, equipment and personnel compliance.
• Monitor project schedule to anticipate staffing needs and advise on resource allocation.
• Oversee inspector attendance, performance and conduct.
• Administer all site quality processes and follow up on open actions.
• Manage non‑conformance reports, escalating critical issues to site and corporate leadership.
• Conduct first‑time audits of new construction processes.
• Provide safety and quality guidance, supervising tasks and making timely decisions.

Requirements

Safety is Nordex’s top priority; the successful candidate must demonstrate a deep understanding of safety protocols, enforce all regulations, proactively mitigate risks and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Effective communication in English is essential for sharing safety information and collaborating with supervisors and team members.

• High school diploma (GED) minimum; technical/engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3+ years of quality management or control experience, preferably in wind‑turbine assembly.
• Bilingual French/English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Certified ASQ/ISO auditor preferred.
• Proven leadership in small teams and ability to produce clear reports.
• Strong analytical skills to draw conclusions and make data‑driven recommendations.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, develop procedures and mitigate risks.
• Physical ability to work at heights of 60‑100 m, stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 23 kg.
• Willingness to travel 90‑100 % domestically/internationally and work weekends/holidays as needed.
• Valid driver’s license; able to work in Canada without sponsorship and obtain a US passport.
• Pass pre‑employment medical exam and background checks.
